Westwood Curtis is seeking a Small Project Foreman to lead field crews on smaller excavation and underground utility projects in the Jackson, Wyoming area. This position is responsible for overseeing daily field operations, coordinating crew activities, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to plan.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in excavation, underground utilities, and job site coordination, along with the ability to lead a small crew and communicate effectively with project management.
Core Responsibilities
Supervising and directing a small field crew on excavation and utility projects
Reading and interpreting plans, specifications, and grade information
Coordinating daily work activities, equipment, and materials
Ensuring all work is performed safely and in compliance with company safety
standards
Communicating job progress and field conditions with project managers
Assisting with layout, grade control, and quality of installation
Managing job site productivity and maintaining project schedules
Qualifications
Experience in excavation, grading, and underground utility installation
Ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications
Experience supervising small crews (typically 2–5 employees)
Strong organizational and communication skills
Commitment to safety and quality workmanship
Experience in heavy civil construction, road building, or underground utilities is strongly
preferred.
