Elk Mountain Water Improvements
In early 2014, Westwood Curtis Construction was awarded a water system improvement project in south-central Wyoming focused on replacing deteriorating water mains and associated infrastructure.
Project highlights include:
Installation of approximately 2,700 linear feet of water main, services, and hydrants
Installation of new irrigation mainlines
Construction of an equestrian bridge
Roadway reconstruction and surface restoration
Upgrades to the existing chlorination system
Installation of 10” HDPE water main beneath an active waterway
Dewatering and ballast systems used to support waterway crossing
Construction began early in the year to stay ahead of rising seasonal groundwater levels. This project reflects Westwood Curtis’s ability to coordinate complex utility work, water crossings, and supporting infrastructure under challenging environmental conditions.
