Middle Connector Pathway Tunnel

In 2015, Westwood Curtis Construction completed a 2.4-mile paved pathway project that included construction of a precast concrete box culvert underpass beneath Highway 89, helping connect major pathway systems in Teton County.

Project highlights include:

  • Construction of a precast concrete box culvert underpass with wingwalls and lighting

  • Installation of associated drainage systems

  • Construction of soldier pile and gabion retaining walls

  • Pathway grading, paving, signage, and landscaping

  • Completion of a critical connection between the Snake River pathway system and the Highway 89 corridor

Upon completion, this project linked pathway networks on the west bank of the Snake River to the Highway 89 system, creating nearly 45 miles of continuous connected pathways throughout Teton County.
