Westwood Curtis is looking for Entry Level Operators to support excavation and utility crews by safely operating equipment, in and around existing utilities.

This position is ideal for someone beginning a career in heavy civil construction who wants to gain experience operating and working closely with excavation crews.

Core Responsibilities

  • Operating mini to mid-size excavators, skid steers, and wheel loaders

  • Performing daily vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks

  • Following all company and DOT safety requirements

  • Assisting crews with general labor duties when needed

Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license preferred but not required

  • Ability to operate construction vehicles safely and responsibly

  • Strong attention to job site awareness

  • Ability to follow direction from foremen and supervisors

  • Willingness to assist with general labor tasks as needed

  • Experience with operating equipment required.
